  1. I have been using DVD decrypter for some time now and it usually takes about 40 minutes to decrypt any given movie. I have a friend who has the exact same pc I have amd xp 2500+ and he decrypt's movies in 15 minutes or less. Can anyone tell me why this is? He also decrypt's all files. Is there a setting I need to change?

You may also find that your DVD Writer is rip-locked, which prevents it from reading above about 2.4 - 4x. A firmware update will get you ripping in about 8 minutes.

I'll back rip-locking, as my 106 was the same prior to a firmware flash. It mightn't hurt also to read the DVD Ripping Speed sticky at the top of the DVD to DVDR forum either.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. I tried all the things in the first post. It was already set to dma. I tried updating the firmware... I think. I hope I did it properly and I'm not to sure if I used the right update. If someone could guide me to correct upgrade that I need it would be greatly appreciated.
