  1. Hi,
Maybe I don't know the setting or this is simple impossible.
I use Nero to burn CD and DVD.
Lately I've been burning data with files that have real long name like:
"I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in - The Firest Edition And Kenny Rogers-05-1968-[USA]-BMI"

This is the title of a song.

There are others that are longer and I would like to save them and burn them with those long names, but unfortunately when the CD or DVD is burned I found the surprise that those long names were chopped off.

I would really appreciate if someone tells me if there's a way, a setting or a utility or application that I can burn my data CD or DVD and they keep the long names no matter how long they can be.

    Thanks

Don't try BBCODE in titles. Your post is no more important than anybody else's.

Look through your settings for a File System setting. There should be options like Joliet or Level 2. These change, among a few other things, how many characters your filenames can use. Just read the descriptions, I'm sure it tells you which one will support more characters. But keep in mind that compatibility can be decreased on certain operating systems and maybe on certain hardware playback devices, but this doesn't usually cause problems.

I don't use Nero anymore but any burning program should support this option. Looking through my settings in RecordNow, 212 characters is the max I can use.
