  1. Hello ppl!

So, i have this .avi file, that is 25fps.
I want to encode it to dvd.

So i checked my tv, and my dvd stand alone player, and they have PAL and NTSC settings.

So, my question is, can i make a PAL dvd out of the 25fps .avi, and will i be able to play it fine?

Does anybody here had bad experience with PAL dvd thingy?

    Tkz!

  2. By the way,

My dvd stand alone player, is the phillips dvp642/37 region free.

It says it can handle pal/ntsc.
Thats why i am thinking of encoding the 25fps .avi as PAL dvd.
But will i get better quality, by doing this, or by converting it to ntsc?

    Tkz,

  3. If your DVD player can make the conversion between NTSC and PAL, it's trivial if your TV can handle NTSC or PAL. you can play any NTSC or PAL DVD in your standalone with no problems at all..
What concerns to the quality it doesn't matter if you encode to PAL or NTSC!
So if your source is 25 fps, just encode it like that you'll have no problems watching in your TV!
    ..thoughts arrive like butterflies..
