VOBs (MPEG2) can be converted to other formats. However, when the converted files are re-authored, they become VOBs again.

So, It sounds like you have an authoring problem. How are you authoring your DVDs?

    Hello,

    https://www.videohelp.com/author

AUTHORING means creating dvd compliant files. Those are the vobs, bups and ifos.

    Also - https://www.videohelp.com/convert

There are many options to convert back to mpeg2 or some other format to start over. Of course if you have the ORIGINAL source (which you mostly SHOULD have unless its homemade ) it would be best to start over to preserve quality.
