Hey,
I am making a backup of a dvd with multiple short ifo files (7) and there are several chapters and menus...
It's a guitar learning video.
I wondered how i should do it when i wanna make a vcd (or an svcd, but i want it to fit on 1 cd) with all the chapters and menus? And yes, i HAVE read the guides on this sites, but none explains how i should do it with so many ifos.. Do i have to encode all of them, one at a time?
Cuz in that case, its gonna be 7 mpg files....
Any ideas?

I thought it was anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. The IFO represents 1 sequence of filem (thus a DVD with 4 episodes of a TV show would have 4 ifo's). Which method are you using to make the VCD??

I'd use DVD2AVI to scan threw all the different vob's (ie make a frameserving d2v project, for 01_01, 01_02, 01_03, etc.vob, then do the same for 02_01, 02_02, etc.vob save project). Then in TMPG input your audio and video sources, and set the source ranges to output the clips. Then you can add all the clips sequentially in a Nero VCD layout (make sure to delete the 5 second pause - right click the clip and go to properties), or you can author up a good menu, in WinONCD, etc...
