Can anyone recommend a program that will allow me to add a fade from black and a fade to black to a video file without losing the audio? My Nero will do it, but it changes the audio from 5.1 to 2.0 and the audio doesn’t fade with the video.
I want to take a clip from a film and I want the audio and video to fade up and fade out. I'd then like to dump the video and audio into DVDLAB and master it for DVD.
Thanks

Dont know if it would be of any use to you but I have Ulead Videostudio 7 which, although it is very basic, will do the kind of fading that you require.
I thought that this would have been a standard feature on most video authoring tools ??"The most overlooked advantage of owning a computer is that if they foul up there's no law against whacking them around a bit." -
You can try Womble MPEG VIDEO WIZARD. Important Note: the output will be an MPEG file. MVW is a bit expensive, but it is one of the few programs that works well with MPEG files. Womble offers a 30 free trial period. (not sure about the audio.)
