    Hi everyone i found a ritek g04 media 4x and a ridata g05 8x media i got an lg gsa4160b what should i buy?

    Make sure you get Grade A Ritek though.

    neither......get better quality media than RITEK....get some MAXELL (MADE IN JAPAN), TAIYO YUDEN, &TDK with media code TTG01. just my 2 cents.

  4. Looking at reviews of your burner, I see 4 'good' results with g05 with no mixed or poor results, for what that's worth.

    I think the general consensus was "NO". I personally have never had one issue with RITEK G04's, but then again, alot of these guys burn several hundred discs per month. I would go with their opinion. For me: Linkyo printables or Japanese Maxells

    the problem it's that i only found those here, in venezuela not the taiyo ones so heres the thing, ritek g04 or ritek g05 for lg gsa-4160b

    I used a few hundred G04 but the last batch I had were definitely a bit dodgy. A friend has been using G05 and had no problems. They may be 8x disks but will burn at 4x on a 4x writer.

    yeap i know but i've been reading here that ritek 8x at lg burners only burns at 4x and isnt so good so i think i should buy g04, i read here http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm that the optodisc are good??? cause there said that are 2 class like ritek and i can buy it here http://potoco.com.ve/page-190.html so what do u think? for an lg gsa4160b

    2ND class does not mean "good"
    .... it means "decent" or "not horrible"

    1ST class ... that's good


    OPTODISC and RITEK media can be great, or absolutely horrible.
    It depends on your burner and the batch.

  11. I'm very happy with G05s and ProdiscF01s. Short of the TY media, they are quite acceptable in my Pioneer burner.
