Here's the deal. I have just built a "super-system" with one purpose - capturing 4 lines of video at once into seperate files.
I purchased an $800 Winnov Videum 4400VO card to do this task. Didn't work. Their support team is useless, essentially saying "We never intended our product to do what we advertise on our website"...
Anyway, I am looking for a new setup. Price is not a major concern, or not as big a concern as functionality.
I am NOT capturing via firewire - I am capturing via four BNC Security Cameras. I know - old, but that's what we've got.
This system should be able to handle anything I throw at it - Dual Xeon 3.2GHz chips, 400GB of HDD, 2GB of RAM, etc. But I need this thing working by the end of the week
I need suggestions on new hardware or even new software for the existing Winnov card. I have tried the basic stuff (VirtualDub, AMCap, Windows Media Encoder) with no luck.
If you have any thoughts, please send them to me via e-mail (bigd29x@hotmail.com) as I will not be able to check this bulletin board frequently. Thank you in advance.
