NTSC DVD to PAL DVD-R

Hey ppl,

I got sum NTSC DVDs which I wanna convert to PAL and keep all the menu's etc. ( i have not got any NTSC compatible TVs either or it would b a peace of cake )

For normal back up's I just rip with dvddecrypter, shrink it with DVD Shrink and then burn it again with DVD decrypter.

Any suggestions would be great.

You need to use an editor to transcode to PAL. It has a different resolution that NTSC. Once done you then need to framerate convert from 29.97 fps to 25.

Some editors do this at the same time as transcoding and some require a separate step.

There's a program called NuMenu4U at doom9.org that will automatically convert menu's NTSC to PAL and vise versa. It requires Sonic Screenist
though. Hope this helps
