  1. what is the best methode to get subtitles into the movie.

  2. I use the guide at:

    to rip anime DVDs and make VCDs with japanese audio and english subtitles. There's a lot of steps, but it's pretty easy and has always worked. The other choice is to use FLASKMpeg (but this program seems to have problems on my machine). There's a guide to using Flask if you look under under the 'DVD RIP' section to your left:

  3. With subtitles, FlaskMPEG is definitely easier. Make sure you've either got the latest preview version of v0.594.

    Also, if you are using SmartRipper, rip in "FILE MODE" not "MOVIE MODE".

  5. VobSub is a nice plug-in for VirtualDub that works great for subtitles. I've made several SVCDs with it.
