    Hello,

    YES!

    https://www.videohelp.com/convert

    Look up VCD-DVD.

Many authoring programs like TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR will convert it for you.

Since its on cd now you'll need isobuster to remove the mpg video from the .dat file.

  4. I hear Action Replay Max can now play video on the ps2 with their converter.

But easier to just buy a cheap dvd player for $25 that plays vcd.

  5. It's actually simpler (IMHO) and quicker doing it my way.
Yoda's way works just as well, but takes more steps, and more time.

  6. VCD-DVD is nice.. fit 7-8 hours of vcd qaulity video on 1 dvd.. but you need to make sure the audio is changed from 44.1khz to 48khz.... I have authored several dvd's like this.. mostly political movies

I'd just drop it into TMPGEnc DVD Author (just like you would any other DVD-compliant file), and it'll do the audio resample automatically for you while it's outputting. Can't get any simpler than that IMHO
    If in doubt, Google it.

Now I hit the snag with TMPGEnc DVD Author
it complains having a roblem with GOP and don't know how to fix this problem
All I did was to extract the tracks with isobuster as track2 but since there were two VCD tracks I decided to rename them in sequence that is 1 and 2
What do I do to change GOP?
    thanks

  9. I make this:
    1. convert dat->mpeg with VCDGear (chek "Fix MPEG errors"). I don't know why, but i don't have problems.
    2. Go to TMPGE Author. Each VCD - new track.

If you still have problem with GOPs - recompress with TMPGEnc & Wizard & Hi-bitrate (up to 2500 - for not loss quality).

MPEG-VCR has a GOP fixer which has worked for me in the past. Also, I have read that demuxing and then remuxing using something like TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools has fixed GOPs in the past, but don't hold me to that.
    If in doubt, Google it.
