My sister has brought from the United States a DVD she and her husband made of their honeymoon. The DVD is in Region 1 and here in Greece we have Region 2.
I want to make a copy of it using my PC but when I inserted the DVD to the drive and started DVD Decrypter it had a lot of read errors because of the different Regions. Is there a program that I can use to change the current Region of my DVD's drive to Region 1 (or free) so that I can make a copy?
My DVD drive is ATAPI 16max

    Thanks in advance guys!!!

  2. What brand of drive is it? Some drives have applications and/or firmware that can change/disable region-coding.

Sounds like a drive-region issue to me, Yoda. Know any good apps to disable that?

I think that only works for playing DVDs, not copying them, which is his problem.

If you have a LITEON, you can use this:

If not, here's some payware that'll do ya.

As I stated previously, you may use DVD Genie if you care only for playback.

Do you know what model writer you have? Examine this list: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DVDname=MSI&Submit=Search&cdrs=&cdrws=&dvdrs=&...&Search=Search

If yours has the mediatek chipset, you might be able to use this free tool:

  9. I can't believe a homemade DVD has region protection but you might try DVD region Killer or AnyDVD.

I know I asked my sister about the same thing and she told me her husband somehow did it...I dont know...

The thing is, when I try to play it, it plays perfectly fine, I have DVDRegionFree+CSS program. The problem appears when Im trying to make an image of the DVD with DVDDecrypter.
