  1. ive posted on here before about camers but now i have a question about my computer. i am trying to get stuff off a camera using s video cuz i don have a good camera yet. i tryed using mpeg format and it dropd like 400 some clips from like 20 seconds. plus i dont have alot of room on my computer as it is. i no im going to need another hard drive, but what should i do about quality and stuff like that. is it the computer or the camera? i also dont no what the names of n e of the stuff in my computer is so it dosnt do much good to ask me what i have now. alls i no is i have a radeon 9600 graphics card and am running on xp sp2. the camera is a JVC compact vhs camcorder, model number GR-SXM520U. thanx

  2. Your title needs some work. Nobody knows what you're talking about. Also, you need to give more information in your post.

    What kind of camera do you have?
    What software/program were you using?

    Try capping in AVI, capping in mpeg is processor intensive and if your machine can't handle it you'll drop frames. Also defrag your drive before capping especially if your running low on space. If your reaching the capacity of your drive you will drop frames....
