well im new to this so if its in the wrong forum then i apologise in advance !

right a friend of mine has asked me to find out for him why his vcd's dont work as well on his dvd player ! but they all work 100% fine on mine !

i have a cyberhome dvd player and they are ok my friend has a sony DVP N300 of something like that but certain films either just dont work (not recognised) or some of them are in black and white ? and once he has pressed stop the dvd screen itself is black and white and i think it should be blue ?

does anyone know anything i could do to get this working please ? i would be very greatful !
