I don't know what you're talking about. -
FedEx won't ship Bees and other certain insects. They die at high altitudes in the FedEx planes. But they'll ship Helicopters and Jet Planes for the military. I was curious as to why they would ship an "airplane", but apparently it's more expensive in fuel costs for certain military planes to fly themselves, than it is to hire a freight plane to carry it. I also found out that FedEx has trains too, but only via FedEx ground shipping are they used.
Another Pick-up line:
"Don't deny it. You're beautiful, stunning, and probably very smart & confident around groups of people, and even better 1 on 1. But at least I noticed." -
FED-EX has a special 747 just for whales .. they ship just about anything - but if you go into the local fedex office with a heavy crate they give you the evil eye and tell you they dont touch that crap -- so i pull out my fedex whale story and that usually gets them going...
fedex will ship pretty well anything , any size, anywhere
so does ROCKET , the company from england specialized in concert tours ..."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
and Doramius - GREAT opening line i think ..

FedEx ground uses ground trucks like UPS does, but they also have trains for many cross nation shipping. I only found that out recently. I only thought they used trucks & airplanes. I'm somewhat of a railfan and I heard about how they were initially trying to strike a deal with AMTRAK, but that fell through. They also contacted several other rail companies. The biggest problem was transferring from 1 train to another, because they weren't using their own box or freight cars. So they got their own freight cars and the cars are just uncoupled and coupled from one train to the next. They are even planning on purchasing their own engines to cross continentally, but the problem is they have to pay for track transference, due to the fact that sections of track are owned by several different companies. I could go on with rail information, but it even gets boring to me sometimes. SO I'll leave it with FedEx also uses rail to send their ground shipments.

It's amazing the twist and turns a thread can take. Never ceases to cause me to wonder ...
... how the hell a thread about the best pick up lines can eventually end up with everyone talking about FedEx and what/how they ship !!!
I have to keep scrolling up to make sure I'm in the right friggin thread!! -
pickup -- as in pickup and delivery

united parcel service or
united parcel post service ?"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Yeah, you gotta be careful, because USPS is United Staes Post Service. I call UPS 'BROWN'. I remember when Federal Express changed their name and logos to the shortened FedEx with the tagline, "because that's what you call us anyway". I remember looking at that and saying to myself, "All the companies I worked with called them 'Federal Express', but hey, it is easier."
Another Pick-up line:
"Don't make a sound until I've had a chance to admire you completely. [when she makes a comment or sound] Dammit. Now I'm biased and think you're the center of my universe." -
UOTPW
United Off Topic Post Whores-when you absolutely, positively have nothing better to do. -
