  1. Hi everyone -

I am looking to encode some DVDs using the pocket divx encoder for watching on my Pocket PC and am trying to devise a workflow that makes the most sense. here's what I had in mind:

rip vob files to hard drive
convert vob files to avi video stream / wav audio stream using DVD2AVI
    piece back together using tmpgenc
drop mpeg file into pocket divx encoder

I gotta think there's a better way to do this. Primarily I am looking for a tool that converts a series of vob files (vts_01.vob, vts_02.vob, vts_03.vob, etc) into one avi file without separating the audio out. DVD2AVI separates the video stream into multiple 2GB files, and separates the audio into its own stream. This makes the process very timeconsuming. Basically if I can go from vob files to one avi or mpeg file that would be great.

NOTE: I have to encode to pocket pc using the pocket divx encoder because my ppc does not handle WMV files.

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for the suggestion - I think I'm going to go with AutoGK. It seems to be what I am looking for.
