  1. Hello

I'd like to know if there's a software that can check if an audio file in PCM format is ok or is corrupted

    Thanks in advance

You could open it in an audio editor like Audacity. (Free)

  3. Well you have to scan the file completely to know whether it is corrupted or not. You could listen to the complete file. Or you can load in a conversion software and convert to a diff format like MP3. If it converts properly then your PCM file is ok. You can also use "Nero Wave Editor" to load the file. It scans the file before editing. So you would know if there is any error.

Not sure, but isn't PCM pretty much raw data, with some header info? If so, anything is OK, as long as the header is OK - Tack a valid header to a text file, and it'd be valid - do the same with a Powerpoint slide show, and it'd be valid. It wont sound well, but it will play. Only thing the header can tell you, is if the data has the correct length.

  5. Hi boys

Well I realize there aren't any softwares like Bitrate viewer for mpeg files or DVDInfoPro for DVD media that can check and give information about a structure of a PCM file or say if a PCM file is OK or not.
