I converted an avi file to vcd a while ago and I went to watch it today and the color keeps changing from normal to a pinjkish tint then back to normal. Anyone know how to fix this as I don't have the original file anymore.

That sounds like macrovision, bright to dark. It's what you get when you try to copy some copy protected tapes. Wasthe original file like that?

The short answer is no. You could fix it somewhat with a good editor by splitting the areas and applying filters (color correction/brightness/contrast....) that become lighter and darker but it would take quite a while and the results will probably be not worth the effort unless the footage is irreplaceable.
