    Okay, using DVD Decrypter to rip.

    Then used DVDFab to split into two.

    Then using TMPGEnc author to write dvd folder to dvd.

    Second disc plays fine. First one doesn't do anything. All the other things I've done have worked except these two movies.

    What movie is it and is it the new Copy protection from sony?

    Pirates of the Carribean and AVP. Trying to make backups so my dad can keep a set upstairs and stop bugging me to borrow my movies!

    I ripped POTC with DVDDecrypter and it worked fine. I reauthored and split it with DVDShrink into 2 dvds. I'm no expert but if you did everything the same as disk 2....I'm betting it's bad media because I don't believe that movie has the new Sony Encryption unless they added it to the newer disks. Just my opinion.
