    when I watch a VCD I cant rewind or fastforward is this normal?

    Depends on how yo're watching the VCD, I hav ehad tweo DVD players.. one Sony and one Samsung and you can't playforawrd in the way we are used from VHS but I can read the disk faster at 4x and 8x... that depends completely on the DVD player... it's not obvious that you can just because you can on a DVD. If you're watching the VCD on a computer, it's the same thing, depends on the App.
