Audio Sync Issues

Hope someone can help us out.

Just recently i've been encountering out of sync audio when i play movies and also when i try to convert to Vcd.

I pretty sure it's all to do with the amount of $hite in terms of audio codecs i have installed.

Question is, how do i un-install all my audio codecs and then install just the single ones i need ( help appreciated telling me which are essential for watching/encoding)

Have you ticked the FFDSHOW filter settings ? If your CPU isn't fast enough, you'll get a bad sync problem while playing. The sharpening options REALLY mess with audio sync.
