codecs problem

hello friends,

i downloded K-Lite codecs. after downloding the codecs i downloaded a movie. but there is only video no audio. for other friends its working fine.
since it is in .wmv extension G-SPOT is not applicable regarding codecs.
please help me. should i uninstall the K-Lite codecs.


i aslo tried uninstalling K-Lite codecs n downloaded the movie agin but no improvement. now for few other movies STAT in GSPOT says codec misconfigured.

please help me.

What movie was it? Where was it downloaded from?

Movies downloaded are quite often dodgy in terms of playback because of the way they've been created. Download = expect problems...

K-Lite codec pack is a horrible piece of shit.

In fact, it's worse than shit - it's shit compiled by software pirates.

Not only is a lot of the software contained in it NOT LEGAL (just as an example, Indeo XP is a pay codec but you'll find it in every codec pack out there), it will **** UP YOUR SYSTEM.

Sorry you didn't know that before you installed it, but hey - such is life.

No, they meant don't install it in the first place. One of the problems with these codec packs is that they generally don't uninstall properly.
