This question is specific to the Ritek G05's only becasue that is what I have been using. However, if anyone has input on other media, feel free to speak up.
I read somewhere that the Ritek G05 work best when burned at 8X. I always try and burn my media slow as I can. Movies at 4X and PS2 games at 2X. Anyone notice a difference with these disc or any others when burning at slower speed? Its would be odd, yet nice, if the G05's burn better at 8X than at 4 or 2X. I always thought the slower the better.
Same question regarding other media. Anyone experience problems when buring slower? I am burning on a Pioneer 107.

I only saw one media that was not better at a slower speed and that was the infamous Ritek R03 on an equally infamous Liteon. I have since started to burn on an NEC and all burns are superb. The only way to really confirm your theory would be to try two on your burner and see what the scans look like. I did see an significant improvement on scans from Prodisc S03 when I went from 4X to 2X on my 107 but that is only one media.
Still a few bugs in the system...
