Hello all
I have an MPEG2 Movie, that I wish to convert to DVD but when I use VSO DivxToDVD it says it isnt compatible, and TMPGenc DVD Author says its not the right resolution...
So: Is there a way I can either convert it to a compliant PAL resolution, or are there any tools that will work?
Thanks, noob here. I have also tried Cucusoft converter, that just crashes on opening the file.
Thanks
Hong

...then you got an old GSpot. Must be 2.5?
But seriously, that a DivXtoDVD app wont accept an mpg as input shouldn't coma as a surprise - and you can't take just any mpeg you've found and expect it to be suitable as source material for a DVD...
You have to reencode to DVD specs (see "What Is" top left) or change the mpeg header resolution info (SVCD2DVDMPG) to trick TDA into authoring it anyway, and hope that your player swallows the non compliant mpeg.

Thanks. The reason I try in DivxToDVD anyways is that it has accepted some mpegs before, so I give it a go.
I'll try what you said about reencoding...

Hi,
I was wondering if you were using the latest version of DivxToDVD?
the lastest is here:
http://vso.nerim.net/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_048.exe
I'd be curious to see if the lastest version fixes the problem,
claire
