How can I add remote desktop functionality to my Win2K SP3 install.

I added the client tool so I can connect to other machines but any way to add the remote desktop 'host' function to this win2k install?

I haven't seen a way to do this (doesn't mean you can't), but for Win 2K, I usually use VNC which has the server component available.

If you're running 2KPro Remote Desktop is not available. If you're running a server version you need to install terminal services.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

    Nope... no server version...

I installed PCAnywhere V11... not bad... not as fast as terminal services, but not bad.

Our company installed Firepass (software VPN) that sets up a WAN PPP connection via my home DLS network... this allows us to use our home personal computer to directly connect to corporate resources (ie Terminal Services or PCAnywhere) to one of my two servers or workstation desktop (the Win2k machine)

This is working now and is pretty cool. If my desktop at work is down I can tap a quad processor sql server that I loaded up my work application essentials on.... redundant work access.... (as long as home dsl stays on)
