  1. Hi all,

I'm new to this group. I'm running into a problem with the VCDs I burned with Nero. I simply followed the "How to author VCD" instruction on this site and burned a few VCDs with my Nero demo software. None of them can't be play in my Toshiba 2200 DVD player. The tv screen stays blank with a line of text saying: "check disc". Can anyone please help me out?

    Thanks.

    Shaun

  5. Your player doesn't do well with CD-R's at all. See the following from this site's DVD Player compatibility list:

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdlist/488.html

    CD-RW's should work OK.

  7. The VCD works on my computer. I used PowereDVD player on my Windows 2000 Server to play the disc. The movie ran flawlessly. My Toshiba SD-2200 plays other VCDs I got from Hongkong just fine.

I guess I need to use CD-RW then. Also, I need to upgrade my Nero demo to the full version. Hope those two would help.
