hi,
what is the best codec to use for doing vj footage : what i mean is, good resolution (640x480), good quality, i don't care about file size, but i do care about CPU. i'm using ffmpeg to encode from a dv/29.97fps/720x480/avi to if possible a libquicktime file or avi. i tried xvid (with keyframe every frame (gop 1)) but it eats a lot of cpu when decoding the file.
any recommandation would be appreciate!
pat
