  1. Hi guys,
I want to add a subtitle to a DVD.
I ripp the DVD, I demux the big IFO, I convert the .srt into .sup.
Well...here is my point: it took 6 hours to open the .srt and in the morning I saved as .sup and leave the computer working ! Is it normal to take that long ?? I used SRT2SUP for this.
OK, so let's say I get home and I have the demux video and the subtitle in .sup format. I want to use ReJig for authoring and multiplexing it nack but couldn't find a guide about this.
Does any of you have a few moments to give me the "dummy guide for authoring and multiplexing with Rejig"
Another thing: how do you select the added subtitle finaly ? Is the menu modified ?
    Thanks.

  2. I know but my DVD is NTSC and I've read that IfoEdit has bugs when multiplexing NTSC.
But thanks anyway for the reply.

  3. The current version of Ifo edit works fine with NTSC. I've been using it. You can use Rejig also.

Regarding selecting the subtitle, well... you may be able to select it via your player. With all the players I tried, the only one I could get to play the subtitle from the vobs was Videolan, and that is a pretty bad program. When you actually burn it to a dvd your player should let you select it with the subtitle function button. You can turn it on by default by adding a command to the IFO using something like PGCedit - then other software players will show the subtitle (see Turning Subtitles ON by Default).

To actually add a menu to select the subtitle etc, well, that is a lot harder and something you'd probably need professional software for.

I didn't find a single guide that told me everything, just bits a pieces around the place (mainly here). I'll probably write my own guide once I refine it a bit more.
