I have a huge mp3 collection (I use to be a DJ, so yes, I actually have the original CDs and vinyls).
Recently, I decided to store all my mp3s on a HD and I search a good way to automate the proccess of finding double / trible / etc mp3s! I tried several programs, but I'm not satisfied with them!
So I have to ask: Is there any good (and freeware) program for this simply task? What you suggest?
I really interest for something that gonna search the mp3s on my HD and compare them bit by bit and not something that gonna search for id tags or same filenames!
Also, I prepare to convert again some of my LPs, to mp3s. I won't burn them on CD, so I gonna use 48khz audio. Some of them are not in the best possible condition.
I have an ancient soundforge version (version 4h or something) to use for this task.
Beyond that hiss cut, what else can I do for better audio results? Any filters, or alternatives you may have to suggest me for this?
In short terms, I'm interesting on some more advance solutions with soundforge! A freeware soundforge plug-in maybe or a good technick for better results!
Thanks in advance!
