    Isn't there any way to translate .wmv to MPEG-4 or .mov or something like that with ffmpegX?

    Do I have to use another program? I don't want another program...

    Yes, WMV as a container format is supported, but some of the codecs you may find inside WMV are not. To know if it is the case for your file, you must try.
