  1. I have purchased and activated both DVD Xcopy Gold and Platinum. My problem is I want to reformat my hard drive to clean things up. Since 321 Studios no longer has a web site, I can not go there to reactivate my software.

Does anyone know how I can reinstall my software? There must be a way to get around the activation.

  3. 321 Studios

321 Studios regrets to inform you that it has ceased business operations including, but not limited to, the sale, support and promotion of our products. Despite 321 Studios' best efforts to remain in business, injunctions entered against 321 Studios by three US Federal courts earlier this year has resulted in 321 Studios no longer being able to continue operating the business.

321 Studios provides software tools to help consumers protect their investment in digital media, and is the leading provider of DVD backup, recovery, and creation software. Founded in 2001, 321 Studios' titles have won prestigious software utility awards, including PC Magazine's 'Best Products of 2003' for DVDXCOPY PLATINUM. The company is privately headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, with distributors and sales offices throughout Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States.

That's one reason right there to take a look at an excellent freeware alternative - DVDShrink !

There's plenty of guides in the guides section that will enable you to accomplish almost anything you could have done with DVDXCopy using DVDShrink and possibly a couple of other freeware proggies, to the point where IMO there is no need to pay for DVD Backup software at all.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Simply use DVDShrink & Decrypter and your set. IMHO, XCOPY was always a big POS!!! You should never pay for software that can be found for FREE and does a much better job...Ahhh...now I feel better
