  1. Hi,

I have 2 questions here, hope sb can answer:

    1. I have an AVI file, it plays one audio language in Left Speaker and another in Right Speaker simultaneously. I have to switch off one speaker to listen. Now I want to recode the audio to 2 audio tracks that each track contains one language only. How can I do that?

    2. After I demux audio/video, and create 2 new audio files, how can I remux video and 2 new audio files together? I do not know whether VirtualDub can do or not.

    Thanks

I don't know about remuxing two audio racks into an avi, however seperating the tracks is easy.

Demux your audio so you have a single stereo track. Call it Audio A. Make a copy and call it Audio B. Load Audio A into your Audio editing software. Highlight the left channel only, copy it, then paste it over the right channel. If you are asked to mix/blend it, say no. Play it back and make sure you get the same from both channels. You now have a 2 channel mono file.

Repeat the same for Audio B, but this time copy the right channel over the left.

VirtualDubMod would let you add 2 audio tracks, but there aren't that many players that will let you select which audio track to play...

  4. Thanks. I separated the audio and tried Nandub and VrtualDubMod to make new movie. Media Player Classic is able to let you choose audio streams. I aslo find that Divx Player can do as well.
