  1. I wanted to have an intro to my menu. Play a video clip and then jump to the main menu where you have "Play Movie" "Special Features" and "Select Scene". Is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks

  2. Yes, just have your intro video as the '1st play' item Then have it go to your main menu. Use the connections window to set all this up.

  5. Movie 1 is your intro.
Movie 2 is your main movie.
    Movie 3 is your features.
Menu 1 is the firstplay, autoplay, timeout 0, force select button 1, force activate button 1, to movie 1 to play the intro, then jump to menu 2.
Menu 2 is your selection menu for Play Movie, Special Features, and Scene Selection.
Special Features is menu 3, Scene selection is menu 4.

  9. You're welcome
A couple of things to remember, all your video must be the same resolution, and audio all the same. Don't mix mp2 with AC3 or LPCM.
Of course, if you're doing this in DVDLab Pro, then you can mix anything you want, providing all the same stuff is in the same VTS. Use multiple VTS instead of just standard menus.

  10. Now im not sure i understand the VTS. I have just created a menu (Title, and a Scene Selection) I have 6 Videos on this DVD all under the same VTS...Atleast thats what i think it is. Also maybe you could help me... I want a play all button how do i set it up so that when you press play all it would play all of them one after another? Also if my DVD is lets say 5GB i compile it and everything with DVD-lab Pro. Can i then run it in DVD Shrink to make it fit on a DVD? Do you recomend this?
    Thanks

  11. Also im not to sure how you got this stuff?

autoplay, timeout 0, force select button 1, force activate button 1, to movie 1 to play the intro, then jump to menu 2.

  12. Menu 1 has a play movie button, that links to movie 1, movie start.
Menu 1 also has a link to menu 2 (your scene selection menu).
Movie 1 is linked to movie 2, to movie 3, etc.
The connections tab looks like this:

Heh...the VTS ROOT is just the link that goes to your Intro. You want the intro to play before anything else, so it has one button (invisible all) that is selected, and activated to go directly to the intro.
After one of your movies has finished playing, it will go back to the main menu, and NOT play the intro again.
You only see the intro if you stop, and restart the dvd, so between selections (play movie to end, back to menu, change to go to features menu) you don't have to sit through the intro again.
Of course, if you WANT the intro to play after the movies have played, link the two movies (movie 2 and 3) back to the VTS ROOT, and not to Menu 2.

Yes, you can use shrink after it's compiled so it fits on dvdr.

    Clear as mud?
