Hi,
I've got a cheap USB2.0 capture device for recording my VHS into my computer. I've tried capturing with both nero vision and the default software (USB 2.0 DVR) but when I burn it seems the vision is interlaced incorrectly. ie. the vision is jittery. It looks like when fields are interpreted the wrong way. But when I capture there are no settings....and I don't know what a DVD should be anyways - upper field first?
Should I be using different software that gives me options? Or is it just that my capture device is cheap? Any tips would be great. Thanks

Hi,
well i never trubled with upper or low fields capturing, i alwaws deinterlace.
Try ulead video studio 8 or windvr. Lot's of options (including deinterlacing)
Good luck -
You should not deinterlace footage your going to use for viewing on a TV...... not if you want to maintain as much quality as possible.
I'd look a little closer for the settings, if not ry some different software.
