Hi Folks,
I'm looking for a DVD player that has either a zoom function with magnification levels of 1.3 (or 1.25), 1.5, and 2.0 or a zoom function that the user can set in small increments. The Panasonic DVD-S27 and -S47 and the Toshiba SD-3960 fit this requirement, but I have not read good things about these players.
BTW, I have looked at many manufacturers sites, but they do not commonly report this information in their specifications or manuals.
Thanks for the help.

Modred,
Ran across your post in a search. Saw there were no replies. I have a Panasonic DVD-S47 which does exactly what you want. In fact, it will zoom in 1% increments. It's really good for watching 4:3 DVDs on a 16:9 TV. I usually zoom to about 110% so that the black side bars are fairly small without too much cropping on top and bottom. The stretch modes on the TV are always pretty bad. Now if it only had a corresponding "zoom out" function, it would be great. Hope this helps.
