Problems with backup DVDs

I am trying to backup some of my DVDs and occasionally I get a few stutters. Could this be with programs/utilities running in the background? I have created a new profile which has virtually nothing running, but when I tried to backup a DVD I get the following error messages.

I was using DVD Shrink with Nero 6.3 if this helps.

What exactly are you having trouble with, ripping, encoding, or playing?

It's sorted now thankyou. It has been fine since using DVD Shrink and Datawrite media.
