I have been playing with WinDV and finally figured out how to get the files all in one instead of multiple files, but the one AVI file has no sound, and I was sure to Type-2. I even used the guide from http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/33/59/ to try and get it correct.
Anyone have any other ideas on this?
When I used the other software that brought the file in as a mpg there was sound. Also when I used Windows Movie Maker like someone suggested it pulled the file in fine, had sound as AVI but when I tried to encode it as a mpg using TMPGenc the sound was terrible distorted.
Thanks

Well I guess I should have googled it before posting this. I fixed it by pressing play on the minidv cam before capture on the software instead of letting the software start the cam.
Hope this helps someone else too."ONE BY ONE THE PENGUINS STEAL MY SANITY"
