Hi all,
I recently registered and tried to upgraded to v0.0.9r. My last version v0.0.9j installed fine with all the binaries. Now, upon trying to install the binaries for v0.0.9r I get this message:
"The installation was not successful.
##tar (child): gzip: Cannot exec: (null)
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
/Applications/ AV/ffmpegX.app/Contents/Resources/gnutar: Child returned status 2
/Applications/ AV/ffmpegX.app/Contents/Resources/gnutar: Error exit delayed from previous errors"
I've moved all the components to my desktop, uncompressed the file all_clients-helix-20041224-macos-gcc3-pb.tar.gz and I don't have strange characters in my folder names. I've tried loading the binaries individually thinking it might be one particular component but it happens each time. Is there anything I've overlooked?
Thanks in advance![]()

Your system is missing the gzip binary. You may download it from http://homepage.mac.com/major4/gzip.zip, then unzip it and install it with terminal.app by typing the following command:
sudo cp [drag and drop the gzip file here] /usr/bin/gzip
(enter your login password blindly after hitting return, then hit return a second time).
