  1. I have the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD and I thought that I would convert them to divx using AUTO GK with divx 5.1. As we all know, there is the famous scrolling text at the beginning of the movie that tells us what is going to happen for the rest of the movie. When the encoding was finished I noticed that at the beginning of the movie, the text switches between the English text, then the Spanish text and then the French text. I was wondering how I can fix that using AUTO GK. Or am I stuck with the opening of the video like this? Thanks for the help.

  2. I believe you can remove the languages from the VOB structure when you decrypt the DVD.

Are we talking subtitles, or the scrolling yellow text that moves up the page ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

hmmm ... without ever seeing this DVD for myself, I would think that the only way this could have been done is with different angles, and I've seen other DVDs in the past where conversion to AVi results in a switching between angles as they seem to be stored sequentially in the VOBs. You might have to look at just ripping one angle, which both DVDDecrypter and smartripper can do.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. thanks for the tip jimmalenko. i ripped the dvd with dvd decrypter in "IFO" under the MODE option and only ripped Angle 1. i encoded it with AUTO GK and that did the trick. now my divx file plays just like the dvd. thanks for help.
