  1. ok i have a .avi file, that is 792 mb, any way to burn it in a 700 mb cd? I heard one time that you can force it but I dont remember well, no is not a vcd or something, is just a .avi in a cd

    As is, I don't think so. There's overburn features on some burning software but results will vary for that. If your just trying to store the video try zipping it.

    I don't think zipping will help much. VCD uses mode 2 burning which drops the error correction bit, giving you 800 MB. I believe I heard of a utility that can burn in mode 2 with data files, of course you stand the chance of producing an error if you copy back off the disk. Try a search on mode 2 burning.

    Hello,

    Either reencode it to fit the 700mb disc or check ebay or other online marketplaces for 99 minute cdr's (though they won't work in ALL standalone players but will work on the pc/mac platform )
