  1. I have some PAL video that I will ultimately have to encode as NTSC video--and I would like to do as little transcoding as possible.

    The video happens to be split amongst 3 titlesets with each chapter coresponding to a new VOB ID, not a cell. Take a look at this screenshot and you'll see what I mean:

    What I would like to do is stich all the VOB's together in one huge VOB with a single VOB ID. From there I would like to transcode and manually insert chapter points.

    Check out ifoedit. It is pretty powerful but it can be overwhelming
