    hi,

i have an .avi file i would like to change to a mpeg file, however as soon as i encode the file, the sound is out of sync.

i tried encoding the file with dr.divx and tmpegnc but the results are the same.

i have pulled the sound from the video as the encoder crashes if i use the .avi file for sound as well as motion.

if i play the .avi file it works fine with the sound in perfect sync.

anyone know how i can get around this.

    Thanks

Load the video into Gold Wave, and save it as a wave file. Then try encoding using both the video file and the new audio file.
    Hello.

If you happen to own NeroVision (check Nero.com) you may try "make DVD"->add video file->export video (select mpeg compression level).
Very good for avi to mpeg.
