I have currently burnt a considerable no. of video DVD-R disks. Having just bought a LG burner I am considering moving to DVD+R9 Dual Layer format for those videos that would otherwise mean excessive rendering down. Cost aside, as I have now sourced Ritek dual layer media at c£2.91 (c$5.38), what is the viability of doing this?:-

1)Assuming a good burn firstly do you actually have a layer break on playback in a DVD player or is there a smooth transition so that the video is unaffected?

    2) Does anybody have any experience of the DL Ritek media and a Samsung S224? Will it play?

    3) If a layer break and / or compatabilty is going to be an issue on my DVD player is the same going to apply to DVD-R DL media when it becomes available? Anybody know at this (very) early stage?
