  1. Sorry to post another one of these threads...

I have this dvd and I'm trying to rip it so I can make a backup but it will not rip, in dvd decrypter it gets stuck on a file and then it says I/O error. I've tried opening the disc in DVD Shrink but it will not open, an error comes up. Can anyone help me?

  2. Do you the latest version of DVD Decrypter?
    Try it in file mode.

  7. yep decrypter works fine.ver.3.5.2.0.
if its not working for you try filemode and rip movie files only.
or if the disc is single layer, then iso read, iso write.
otherwise ,just wait for a while,i dont think itll be long before that craps in the bargain bucket.

  8. Download trial version of "DVD Region + CSS Free" and have it opened/enabled and then use DVD Shrink 3.2 to shrink in iso mode and dvd decrypter to burn iso image. Real simple. Guaranteed to work like a charm without any problems at all.

  9. Sounds to me like a bad DVD. I would suggest you take it back to the store you purchased it from and get a new one.

  15. That was my first thought, that the disc was scratched.

That particular film is old enough to pre-date the elaborate protection measures the industry.

I have bought myself a bench grinder, and swapped out the grind wheels with buffing pads. Whenever I find a scratched disc (both audio and video) I give it a quick buff, and usually fixes the problem. (be careful though, don't linger too long in one area, or the plastic may begin to melt, then the disk is a coaster.)
