Sorry to post another one of these threads...
I have this dvd and I'm trying to rip it so I can make a backup but it will not rip, in dvd decrypter it gets stuck on a file and then it says I/O error. I've tried opening the disc in DVD Shrink but it will not open, an error comes up. Can anyone help me?

Do you the latest version of DVD Decrypter?
Try it in file mode.Life is like a pothole, you just have to learn to get around it. -
please can somebody help me? I have used dvd decrypter, vobblanker, dvdshrink and nothing works. it freezes on one file and then the program displays and error.

i dont have that movie, and i'd never watch that movie, but decrypt+shrink works fine. i just helped a friend back up some DVDs and that happened to be the one that was on top.

yep decrypter works fine.ver.3.5.2.0.
if its not working for you try filemode and rip movie files only.
or if the disc is single layer, then iso read, iso write.
otherwise ,just wait for a while,i dont think itll be long before that craps in the bargain bucket.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -
Download trial version of "DVD Region + CSS Free" and have it opened/enabled and then use DVD Shrink 3.2 to shrink in iso mode and dvd decrypter to burn iso image. Real simple. Guaranteed to work like a charm without any problems at all.

Sounds to me like a bad DVD. I would suggest you take it back to the store you purchased it from and get a new one.

hmmm I just checked the disc over and noticed there is a really bad scratch, could this be the problem?

I figured it out! The problem was that you wanted to rip YOU GOT SERVED!?!

That was my first thought, that the disc was scratched.
That particular film is old enough to pre-date the elaborate protection measures the industry.
I have bought myself a bench grinder, and swapped out the grind wheels with buffing pads. Whenever I find a scratched disc (both audio and video) I give it a quick buff, and usually fixes the problem. (be careful though, don't linger too long in one area, or the plastic may begin to melt, then the disk is a coaster.)"I think I know exactly what I mean, when I say it's a Shpadoinkle day!"
