In trying to encode video for an Archos AV400 personal video frustration device, I have been trying to discover a Mac solution that works anywhere as well as Dr. Divx on Windows.
Of course, I have come up empty.
ffmpegX seems to be the most versatile encoder out there for the Mac, but seems to be lacking a couple of basic options that could make the difference between an AVI that plays correctly on an Archos (audio/video in sync) and one that makes you want to cry and ask for your money back!
Does anyone with experience with this program know how to configure ffmpegX to render an Archos-friendly AVI MPEG4 simple profile movie?
Any help will be incredibly appreciated!
