I have been trying to update some of the drivers on my system but have been getting an error with certain one's (the one's i need the most) and have found out that it is related to this:

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767

Now it tells me how to fix the problem which is good but my problem is i can't find my XP disk!

Is there another way in which i can obtains the files?

Should'nt anyones XP disk be able to help him as long as his installed version of xp has a good product key?
Big Government is Big Business.. just without a product and at twice the price... after all if the opposite of pro is con then wouldn’t the opposite of progress be congress?

  11. have you check the I386 folder on your C drive to see if it has a copy of the missing files? If it does just use your C drive letter instead of the CDROM drive letter.

Also you can try running the system file checker.
go to start>run and type sfc /scannow and click OK
