  1. sorry, i'm kind of new to this, but, i'm living in Japan and just bought a DVD player. Its a Cyberstorm KFG-SW/DKK-SW and only plays region 2 DVDs. I want to watch some DVDs from home (region 1) but cant find any region code breakers. Does anyone have any ideas for me? It seems to be a pretty obscure model. Thanks so much!

    Do you have a computer?

I know this sounds like dumb question, but you don't have specs on your profile and you could be posting this at a cybercafe or work or school or the Library.

    Are you in JETS?

  4. Open it up and look inside. It's probably a Liteon or Apex or something -- you might find the manufacturer's name silk screened on the motherboard. Then look up codes for similar DVD players from that manufacturer.

Easier to get around Region block out with on a computer.

If the player have a region free code it is usually pretty easy to do. I have Phillips and al you have to do is open the tray then type "1111" into the renote control then type the number of the region you want or "0" for region free.

But I haven't heard of Cyberstorm before.

If it says Shinco then it's Apex. There is a brand in the US called Cyberhome I wonder if that is Cyberstorm in Japan.

Look up Cyberhome DVD players and see if they look anyhting like yours.
    snappy phrase

    I don't know what you're talking about.
