There's a registry tweak you have to do to allow both cards to have the same IP address, if that's what you're going for.

Not if you have a router.

Yes, but you'd be better off combining the two for aggregate bandwidth - 200 megabits per sec rather than 100.

    how will i do that?
it is not important to me if i will divide my bandwidth...what is important to me is i will be able to assign to which ethernet card should an appication like firefox will use in connecting to the internet...any application that can do this? or tweak to the regisrty?

    how will i do it?

You can't arbitrarily assign an app to use a particular NIC/gateway unless the app supports it, otherwise it's controlled by the OS at a low level - it's called binding. And unless I'm mistaken, FireFox does not have this ability (and most client-apps don't).

You could route your app(s) through another tunneling-app, but FAIK, no such app exists (yes, I know there are ssh-tunnels etc for a WAN, but nothing specific to these requirements of a tunnel on localhost).

Why would you really need to use bandwidth aggregation, unless you're moving a lot of large files internally? His connection is more than likely WAY below 100Mbps.

you can do this if you run a virtual pc (vmware) .... the virtual pc can be assigned to one nic and the real os to the other .... ive done this myself , in fact you can run them both through 1 nic with two different IP's each connected to a cable modem

http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/951 Is the registry setting to network load balance the 2 nics.

If you want to split the functions (web browsing on one card, FTP on the other), then you'll have to set up a local proxy server (easy to do) and point your web browser to use that. That way, you can specify which card is doing the http requests. Go to AnalogX.com for a free proxy server.
