  2. after reading the reviews here for all these models, i'm now REALLY leaning towards the pioneer. bhphoto\video says they don't sell this model online?? that's odd. i just want to get it from a reputable store that will warrant it or take back if i have problems, like newegg does, no questions asked. these pioneer models are hard to find at the "good" stores. ebay has one, brand new, but i don't see any return policy listed. anyone know a store i might have missed? believe me, i've searched. bhphoto is reputable, guess i'll send them an email and see what's up.

take a look at http://www1.bottomdollar.com and search for the different models. You might find other vendors there. Also, look at froogle via google.com and type your models there.

Think about what your going to use it for. Only for DVDs? Hard drive usage? Having recordable CD-R -RW ablility?
