H2 is not a real hummer ... plus the run flat thing is a option (as is the tire pressure you can change in the truck)Originally Posted by pacmania_2001

I brought my digital camera and took pictures (I keep it in the glove compartment for photographing client homes when I'm on the road). I'll post them when I get home because my laptop OS is WIN-NT which doesn't work with USB technology. I did stick the note & bill to his windshield with the 'WARNING' notice. I place the sticker on the passenger side of the windshield and used my fingernail to smooth it across. I also poured hot coffee on half of it. If that coffee dries, he's going to need a razor scraper to get it off.
EDIT: The wheels weren't flat either. I must not have put a large or long enough pebble in the cap. I got pictures of the tires too. -

No problem. And I probably deserve all of it as medicine, but I also want to keep the thread clean and not allow others to stoop down to my level. I feel this is a good model of what not to do when you're upset.
I could have decided to be like the guy in the news recently who intentionally smashed up a guys car and carved 'Merry X-Mas' into the hood, all with a tire iron, for taking his spot during the holiday shopping season. I also don't carry a gun in the car like some do in L.A. -

You might want to take the bus to work for awhile so as not to have to repair your car. Being as open about it as you were with the guy is likely to bring on a face to face. Spilling the beans about it here may have helped you realize some sort of releif, but it has also done some charactor damage. I think that most here will stand up for you feeling bad about you did, but very few will say it was right.
Good luck and watch your back!IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
Not that you need Catholic guilt and that all of us have done something like this in our lives. All sin is the same. There is no, "well, my lie is better than your murder". They are all the same. I keep thinking about glass houses and some stones. Hopefully, one of y'all can fill in the blanks.
When I initially read what happened, I was pretty upset. I have a child (now 4) that has done the same things and I can appreciate the getting kicked, etc. in the face and all that. Makes me want to send the kid back to where he came from, LOL!!
It looks like you also tried to make up for what you did. That is somewhat admirable, although I dont understand what coffee had to do with it. Deep down, do you feel that you have "paid" for what you did?
True, this person was getting in your business by parking too close to you and you did a number of (self admited) childish things to "get even" with this person. Aside from the note, personal apology?
I had a somewhat similar situation happen to me. I had moved to GR Michigan and was living in corporate housing. I was not made aware that the apt complex (I have never lived in an apt complex before) had some kind of assigned parking. Anyway, I parked in some guys spot (or a spot that he "claimed" to own).
Later that evening I hear som commotion out in the parking area and go out to find a guy putting a note on my window. I ask him why he is touching my truck and he starts going berzerk. After he finishes his rant, I calmly explain that I had just moved here (and to the state), thanked him for making my impression of the hospitality of GR special and informed him that I was not aware of this assigned parking (the spots all looked the same to me and the one I picked was right in front of my apt -- no numbers ---) .
He calms down a little and I tell him that I didnt know, but I will move my vehicle so that he can move his the 2 spaces to "his" spot. He says not to worry about it right now and walks off.
About an hour later my doorbell rings (this is about 10pm) and the guy is at the door and he says that he let the air out of my tires. I start laughing and he says that it isnt a joking matter. I told him that I would rather laugh than have us both end up in jail. I ask him what he intends to do as I have a pump and he offers to air my tires up.
After that incident, I had an opportunity to meet him and his kids and he was the nicest person during our time in corporate housing.
Pull whatever moral from this, if any, you want to.... -
Well the H2 was no longer there, but aparently it wasn't the first time he has parked there. He went to the management about the notice on his window. I know the guy from building management fairly well. The guy apparently goes to the Hair Club for men that's in the same building. He only comes about once a month. He didn't mention to the manager about the incident, the $10 or the apology. He just yells at the manager about the notice. The manager told me the guy was complaining about how he has an expensive and large vehicle and that he has the right to take up as many spaces as he likes. The manager himself also has taken photos of the H2 along with other cars that are improperly parked, along with writing down the license plate number. The manager just calmly filled out a form and told the guy he has the option of parking properly or accepting a $90 parking ticket. Apparently the guy was pissed at the manager as well. I had already told the manager the story about the H2 and he didn't mention me to the guy, but didn't feel like siding with the guy when the guy came up to him with that attitude. So apparently the sticker did come off easily, and the guy was a jerk after all. Yes I still feel bad. I do feel I vented better afterwards (hindisght is 20/20) and that I initially took my emotions beyond what I should have. I also didn't leave my name or where I worked. I've never seen this guy before, nor his H2, but apparently it's been there several times already. I merely mentioned that I was the guy who he had argued with earlier that day. I doubt we'll go out and pick up McDonald's for lunch together, but at least this ordeal is over. I also told my wife about the incident. She flew off the handle, but not at me. She was complaining about how tons of people do that all over Vegas and that she's had to get back into the car from the passenger side when she's only beeen in a store for 20-30 min. and it's always some dick with a new expensive vehicle. She said she wouldn't have felt any guilt if she was parked there first. There's been a couple of times I was about 45-60 minutes late picking her up waiting for someone to move their car because they parked so close on either side after my car was already there. The spaces aren't small either. I have friends with the same complaint that people here just have no respect for parking lines. I've seen many vehicles get towed for parking in a red zone. I've heard tell that many times the fire depts. have smashed car windows to route their hoses from a hydrant to a truck. The attatched picture is real, but isn't one of mine or one I personally saw. Is it a coincidence it's a nice & shiny BMW? could be. I'm not saying this justifies my actions, but this is what's dealt with on a daily basis around here. With my bad morning already, I just went over the line after 2 years of this parking s**t going on.

I could never see myself doing anything like that. My experiences are much worse than yours, believe it not, and yet I've never done more than give a bit of verbal and the odd terse note behind the wiper.
Sounds like poor impulse control on your part. -

First thing you should have done is taken the kid back into the house and spanked him and made sure he never acted that way ever again. Have you seen the nanny show?

PS I found that a gallon of paint remover works great too. -
We have parking garages where I live that have signs stating if you park over the line bad enough to take up two spots you get towed. And they walk through each day and tow a few every day.
Dumn shits who park like that should be towed and nobody should feel sorry for them.

When I lived in Chicago there was a bad snowfall once. The busier residential streets have the problem not only of having enough spaces for the people who live there, but people who work in the area parking in front of someone's house all day, taking up their space.
One winter there was a bad snowfall. The weather was ice-cold, close to zero F. The rule is that if you shovel a spot, you "claim" it by placing a lawn chair there. People who know about it respect that.
Well, this one time a woman had just shoveled her parking spot in front of her home. When done, she placed a lawn chair there until she could move her car there.
She went down the block to get her car and when she returned, someone had parked there ...an unfamiliar car that was probably working in the area. He had moved the lawn chair out of the way. She was furious.
So she moved the lawn chair back a ways, went and got her garden hose, set it for a light stream, and sat there for hours "watering" this guys car.
By the time he returned to it, it was so loaded with ice that the springs were bottomed out, there was several feet of buildup all over the car. It looked like an icebergThere was no way that the car was driveable for a long, long time
The story made all the papers.
Bet that nimrod never moved a lawn chair out of the way again8)
